Woven by Afghan weavers in Pakistan, this rug portrays the Chechin design formerly found in northwestern Daghestan, a region of the Caucasus.

This rug is most striking because of the simplicity of its pattern. It is an excellent example in the use of vegetal dyes producing subtle differences in the principal colors.
